The Magee Lions Club hosted Lieutenant Colonel John Stringer US Army (retired), Director, MS Youth Challenge Academy at their mid-August meeting.
LTC Stringer shared that the mission of MS Youth Challenge is to intervene and reclaim the lives of 16-18 year-old youths who have experienced academic difficulties, dropped out of high school, exhibited problem behaviors, and in some cases have minor legal issues.
Since its inception in 1994, MS Youth Challenge has graduated 58 classes for a total of 11,121 graduates. For more information on MS Youth Challenge contact 1-800-507-6253.
