TateReevesSealJACKSON – Seven Itawamba County leaders joined the Republican Party today, showing that conservative principles better represent the majority of Mississippians. Officials joining the party include: Sheriff Chris Dickinson, Constable Doug Lesley, Constable Terry Johnson, Coroner Sheila Summerford, Supervisor Charles Horn, Supervisor Steve Moore, and Supervisor Steve Johnson.

“As Democrats’ views shift further left beyond the policies of Barack Obama to the socialist beliefs of Bernie Sanders, fewer and fewer Mississippians want to be associated with their agenda,” Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves said. “Today’s decision by Itawamba County elected officials further illustrates that you can be a conservative or you can be a Democrat, but you can’t be both.”
