The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in Deuteronomy 6:5: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.” Throughout the earliest recorded books of the BIBLE, God’s chosen people were encouraged to commit their whole being to God in word, thought, and deed. To please God, total trust and obedience were required. Why would it be any different for us today? We know that God is the same today, tomorrow, and forever. He has no beginning; He has no end. Therefore, let’s commit ourselves to God by reading our BIBLE, develop an active prayer life, and follow the precepts and commandments outlined in God’s Word. “Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face. And the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.” Amen!
