On MageeNews.com is a press release about Ty Meador formally of Magee….take time to read! Ty is very special to me for many reasons…one being his precious mother (Tawesia) and daddy (Tommy) and sister (Ashley). I’ve been with ‘em all my life…well, their life!

Actually, MageeNews.com is “here” because of Ty! When I received my computer in 2001, I started an email titled “Message from the Prez.” At this point in time, tons of people did not have computers but as the numbers grew so did the request for my email. Within a short period of time. I was sending over 500 people copies of my email and due to the size, the emails were going into a lot of accounts as spam…..this is where Ty comes in…

Ty told me “Miss Sue, you need to build a website.” I looked at him in horror! “Ty I just can do an email I am way to dumb to even try a website!” But Ty said “we will build it and teach you!” He must have been nuts taking me on as his student. But sure enough, Ty build the first MageeNews.com with a friend of his “Webby”…..and look at us now!

Memorial Day – A Time of Remembrance and Reflection

May 25, 2026

Little did Ty know that he would give me another life ….a creative outlet to share the happenings in and around our area. (Although now we have followers all over the world!…isn’t that crazy…why would people in Australia want to read MageeNews? I sure don’t know but they do.)

Ty is one of the nicest young men I have ever known. He didn’t walk away…he walked back into my life with the wisdom of knowing something I needed and our city needed.

I am so proud of his position as Administrator at Hattiesburg Health and Rehab. Ty is not old…he is young and look what he has already accomplished!

Ty, I love you with all my heart…and I am so very proud of you.

Ty and his wife Haley are the parents of the cutest little boy Bennett…and live in Hattiesburg!
