By James Davis
The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in James 1:27: “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” Seeing to the truly needy and putting the welfare of others before ourselves were evidenced daily throughout Christ’s earthly ministry. His life reflected both, and it was the basis of the religious movement He promoted and practiced. It is the only religion God endorses. If we, as His disciples, busy ourselves in helping others and keep our focus on God, we will be less apt to pay attention to the lure of the world and its spiritual pollution. Amen!
Happy Friday. Enjoy your day and be sure to share with others the love of God.
