Lloyd Andrew Boggan
(January 14, 1946 – February 9, 2023)
Lloyd Andrew Boggan, 77 of Anguilla, Mississippi, formerly of Vicksburg, Mississippi, passed away from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the Martha Jo Leslie Veterans Home in Kosciusko, Mississippi. He was born Monday, January 14, 1946, in Magee, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3077 Simpson Hwy 13, Mendenhall, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Mendenhall, Mississippi. Bro. Leo Beatty will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401
Mr. Lloyd was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He served our country in the United States Navy. He served as the Quartermaster in the VFW. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing pool, and most of all spending time with his family along with friends at the VFW. He will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Boggan; mother, Pauline Foster Boggan; and brother, Taz Boggan.
Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-six years, Ruby Moore Boggan of Anguilla, MS; one daughter, Allison Keever (Jerry) of Anguilla, MS; one granddaughter, Ainsley Keever of Anguilla, MS; one brother, Chesley Boggan (Joyce) of Yellville, AR; one sister, Renee Boggan of Mendenhall, MS; and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Bill McElveen, Jerry Keever, Marty Brantley, Herbert Jones, Karrem Herod, Terrance Alford, Malcolm Stamps, and Thomas Ray Collins.
Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Sharkey Issaquena Community Hospital and the staff of Grand Gulf Nuclear Power Plant.
