The Dixie National Rodeo is not all about horses and wagons. Some of our very own Simpson county children participate in livestock shows leading up to the Jackson Rodeo. Many participate each year and all have a great time. Showing livestock helps the children learn responsibility by caring for the farm animals. The animals must be fed, washed, trimmed, and walked. The children are judged on their ability to show the animals and the animals are judged according to their classification. It is very hard work but, on the other hand, fun for the children.
