Livestock Banquet Sees Local Seniors Honored

The Simpson County Junior Livestock Barn hosted their annual Banquet. The Banquet saw a great dinner that featured pork loin, green beans, mashed potatoes, an deserts. The Barn has a fund for scholarships that is given to students who show livestock their 10th-12th grade year. Many businesses and individuals from around the community donated items that were auctioned off. All money collected from the auction goes into the scholarship fund. Those who received the scholarship include; Ryan Welch, Britton Holland, and Alexis Sullivan. Following the meal and banquet, there was an educator pig show! Andy Gipson, Billy Wayne Hankins, Bo Huffman, Greg Paes, Amanda Blakeney and Patti Braddock all competed in the competition. The night was full of exciting events that led to an investment in Simpson County’s future.
