Co-Lin Workforce Graduates Third Lineman Class

WESSON – Twenty-two students recently completed Copiah-Lincoln Community College’s Electrical Lineman School. The 16-week training program is offered by the college’s Workforce Education Division. Workforce Center Director Luke Laird congratulated graduates in front of their family and friends at the recent recognition ceremony. Following graduation, students demonstrated their skills at a showcase held at the pole yard including attaching lines, climbing poles, and conducting a mock rescue.

The Electrical Lineman Program is a non-credit workforce training program that, when completed, provides graduates with nine credentials: National Electric Codes, National Safety Electric Codes, Multi-Meter, OSHA-10, Forklift, First Aid/CPR, 40-hours climbing, Pole-Top Rescue, and CDL- Class A- License.
