Lindsey Jaynes, Jr., 75, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016, in Jackson, Mississippi.
He was born on March 4, 1941, to his parents, the (late) Lindsey Jaynes, Sr. and Dollie (Stewart) Jaynes in Simpson County. He is a retired road service technician.
Mr. Jaynes is survived by one son, Stephen Jaynes; three daughters, Dolly Jaynes-Beets, Leticia Jaynes-Jones, Nicole Taylor-Tate; three sisters, Elgia Luvenia Loften, Naomi Jaynes, Peggie Allen; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Jacquelyn (Robinson) Jaynes; three brothers, William Daniel Jaynes, Newell Jaynes, Clarence Jaynes; four sisters, Jose Lean Jaynes, Arlevia Jaynes, Clara Hobbs, Scretha Smith.
The family will be receiving friends on Friday, May 13, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee. The service is Saturday, May 14, at 11:00 a.m. at Mary Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Mendenhall. The final resting place will follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Michael Davis Jr. will officiate.
