Linda Wansley Nester, 74, of Mendenhall, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at First Baptist Church Mendenhall, MS, Bro. Rodney Anderson, Dr. Carl Savell, and Rev. Justin Craft will officiate. Burial will follow in Newton County Memorial Gardens. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements, (601)847-4401.
Mrs. Nester was a loving wife, mother, grandma and sister. Not only did she love her two sons and daughters-in-law but her grandchildren were so special to her. Mrs. Nester’s life was centered on helping all children by teaching church kindergarten and public school first grade throughout her career. She will be missed by all those she touched during her life with us.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2016, from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Mendenhall.

She is survived by her husband, Sidney Ray Nester; sons, Jeffrey K. Nester (Becky) and Gregory S. Nester (Pam); sister, Dianne Smith (Joe); Grandchildren, Kaylin Nester (Brandon Walters), Hunter Starns, Cameron Nester, Aiden Williams and Evan Williams.
She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas Wansley and Erma Wansley; sister, Molly Wansley.
