W. C. and Linda Smith have put their heart, soul, and hard earned money into a dream Linda has had for years. “There is so little for young people to do in our area…they have no where to go…no place to meet,” stated Linda…and from this dream came the Saratoga Community Center.

Built in the heart of Saratoga, the large building is nestled under beautiful trees and surrounded by flowers and stone.

“My whole family even including my mother-in-law has been with me …encouraged me…and helped me,” Linda explained.

The Saratoga Community Center (W. C. & Linda) joined the Magee Chamber of Commerce as a way to be more involved in the city…and to let people know about their business.

One of the “rituals” that takes place when a business joins the Chamber is a Ribbon Cutting. Years ago, one of my boys said, “what in the world are ya’ll cutting all that ribbon for!” A Ribbon Cutting is symbolChrisLindaWC in the South of welcoming a business to the Chamber…and everyone gets to see your establishment!

While at the “Ribbon Cutting,” I made several videos…and as usual they are not of top notch quality…but I wanted each of you to know about the family and “see” the place.

I hope you enjoy!

Thanks for recognizing the Extraordinary efforts put forth by Linda, “The Dreamer”, Smith and all the encouragement and support from family members that helped to make her dream come true. I want to especially recognize the hard work and support of her husband, W.C. Smith! I am extremely proud!!
