Linda Shrell Grayson Myers of Magee, MS, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 15th, 2026 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Magee on February 12th, 1948, to the late Reverend C.M. “Sonny Boy” and Noivell Grayson. The impact she made upon the life of everyone who knew her cannot be measured.

Linda married Bobby Ray Myers, also of Magee, on May 2nd, 1969. The two were rarely seen apart and built a beautiful family over the last 57 years together. Apart from her love for her Savior Jesus Christ, Linda had no greater love than for her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, a caring and godly mother, a joyful and proud Mimi and a close and wonderful

sister as well as a true and compassionate friend. She lit up every room she entered, told it just the way it was, and loved so very well.

In her professional life she owned Myers Grocery with Bobby for over 30 years and also worked in the lab at Magee General Hospital with a group that she loved like family. She later worked as a secretary for Insurance Associates in Magee and quickly developed a similar love for her coworkers there before retiring. She was an asset to every business and a blessing to

everyone she worked with.

Linda leaves behind an amazing legacy of love. She loved Elvis and was so happy when she listened to his music and would always say, “He’s so fine!” She loved to laugh and had a good time everywhere she went and with everyone she was with. Her vibrant smile was a visible expression of her love. She loved her church family at Christ Fellowship Church and loved

being involved with them in ministry and worship. Perhaps her favorite love was being Mimi to her grandchildren. She often talked about all they were up to and how very proud she was of all of them. The many many people she loved also loved her so very deeply.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Gary Grayson; and her granddaughter, Sarah Byars.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bobby; her daughters, Cindy (Kevin) Byars and Cheri (Richard) Mayfield; her grandchildren, John Byars, Mackenzie Mayfield, Matthew Byars and Mallory Mayfield; her sisters, Joann Wyatt and Brinda (Eugene) Blair; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026 at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee, MS from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Services will be at 1:00 pm at Tutor Funeral Home with interment following at Sharon Cemetery.
