On Saturday, March 15, 2025, at approximately 2:52 PM, a building fire was reported at Broadhead Apartments, located on the northwest side of the city. The Magee Fire Department, Magee Police Department, and Simpson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. Fortunately, no individuals were present in the building at the time of the incident. Preliminary investigation by the fire department determined that the fire was likely caused by a lightning strike
