By James Davis
The Scriptural passage for today is found in Deuteronomy 31:6: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” For the child of God, the guidance and protection of the Lord are assured. The gospel writer is encouraging all who will listen. In this case, the children of Israel, were not to be afraid of the enemy, other nations, who might seek to overtake them and force them into bondage. Instead, they were to be strong and courageous and stand firm with God as their leader. We who claim to be Christian today are admonished to do the same. Our Lord will lead and guide us against the wiles of the devil, the evil one, and will never leave us or forsake us. Stand firm and resolute! The Word of God for the people of God; thanks be to God. Amen
Happy Wednesday! Let us all rejoice and be glad in it.
