By James Davis
The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Hosea 6:3: “Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge Him. As surely as the sun rises, He will appear; He will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.” The prophet of old is speaking to the nation, God’s chosen, telling them that they should always make it known that God is supreme in their hearts and lives. God will appear in many guises if we but take notice. Nature is but one manifestation of God and His abiding presence. The rejuvenating rain is yet another. We well know that mankind cannot exist for long without rain. Prayer is our communication line with God, and praying to Him for our needs is our best way of acknowledging God and showing our reliance on Him for all good things. Then, we must be willing to tell others of God’s role in our lives. Let us never be ashamed to praise our Lord and Savior. Amen!
Happy Thursday! We’re set to reach another record temp today. Mind the heat and take precautions.
