The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in Colossians 3:16: “Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom and as you sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.” Inspired words of encouragement were penned to uplift and teach proper conduct within the Christian community. Christ, during His earthly ministry, often expounded upon the principles of decency and decorum both in the home and in spiritual gatherings. Teaching God’s Word and singing His praises were vital elements in worship then as they are now. Let us eagerly gather together to hear God’s Word and participate in the singing of hymns and spiritual songs in His honor. Amen!
