King Solomon is attributed to be the author. It is good for the Christian to study Proverbs and live by its precepts, because we know it to be God-inspired and true to the Word of God. Love and faithfulness: two gifts every Christian should possess in abundance. Let us, therefore, strive to abound in both in order to please our Savior and our fellow man.
