The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in Psalm 18:16:
“He reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters.” Yes, indeed! The psalmist knew the height and depth of God’s love and protection. He had been debased and exalted and personally knew and enjoyed the comfort and consolation of leaning on God’s everlasting arms and resting under His sheltering wings. God extends His strong arms of mercy from on high, catches hold of us, and rescues us from the deep waters which so easily beset us as frail, sin-filled, human beings. Who would not relish having a safety net, that life preserver? It’s all free for the asking. Call upon the Lord while He may be found, repent of your sins, and ask Jesus to come into your heart. He’ll take care of the rest, and you’ll be a child of the King. Amen!
