Dustin Grubbs was laid to rest Wednesday afternoon, November 7, 2018. Dustin died in an accident Saturday afternoon while on the way to a fire call. Dustin was a fireman with the Magee Volunteer Department for two years.

Fire Departments from all over the state attended the funeral and burial. The departments brought their fire trucks. What a site to see miles of trucks. I had passed Tutor Funeral Home earlier in the day Wednesday and had seen the trucks lined up ready to roll.

The craven of trucks rolled down old 49 to the intersection near First Baptist Church. The trucks continued around the church and parked on the street in front of the Community House. The family processional parked in front of FBC.

Following the funeral, the waiting fire trucks formed a procession leading the way to the Magee City Cemetery.

Firemen are truly a band of brothers. The concern and support exhibited by all the departments spoke volumes of their love for one another.

Special prayers for Joni and the children…the entire family…and Dustin’s many many friends.

We are blessed.
