Laquita Joy White, 84, of Star, passed from this life Saturday, January 2, 2016 at St. Dominic Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Star Baptist Church. Bro. Vic Bowman and Pastor Lee Brewer will officiate. Burial will be in Clear Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
Surviving Family Members: Daughters – Judy Carol Pitts (Morris) of Laurel and Tracey White of Star; Sons Larry White (Sandra) of Laurel, Ben White (Fay) of Shongaloo, LA, J.B. White (Evelyn) of Laurel, Ed White (Belinda) of Laurel, 12 grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren, and host of nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: Husband of 49 years Benton (Mutt) White, Parents- Grafton H Sossaman, and Margaret Olivier Kirk, Brothers – Bud Sossaman, Sammie Joe, Shelton Sossaman, and Wayne Sossaman.
Pallbearers will be: Buddy White, Melvin White, Kevin White, Ed Aikens, Herschel Pitts, and Kary White.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jackie Aikens, Clay Aikens, Landon Aikens and Lane White.
