Congratulations to Simpson Academy for winning the North State Championship! The Lady Cougars played Pillow Academy on Saturday, February 11, 2023. The first quarter ended 14-9, with Simpson in the lead. Pillow had a good fight in the second quarter, but Simpson did not let that stop them. Going into halftime, Simpson led 31-16. Simpson’s girls and fans brought energy into the gym for the second half. Simpson was determined to stay in the lead for the rest of the game. The third quarter ended 39-25 with Simpson leading. After a tough final quarter, Simpson won and claimed their championship title (49-33).
Simpson will be playing in the MAIS State Tournament, at Pillow Academy, this following week.
Congratulations to Carson Carter, Olivia Banes, Annalea Bryant, and Ava Dunn for making the All-Tournament team.
