LaDonna Jean Scoggins Broadway, 80, of Mize, Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. She was born Tuesday, June 25, 1940, in Mize, Mississippi.
Due to COVID-19, the family will be having a private family memorial service at Pleasant Home Primitive Baptist Church on Friday, December 18, 2020. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031
Mrs. Broadway was a member of Pleasant Home Primitive Baptist Church. In her early years, she was active in teaching Sunday school at Fellowship Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, and sister. She was devoted to serving the Lord in teaching Bible studies in the nursing home. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Jerry Broadway; and parents, Rudolph Scoggins and Elois Craft Scoggins.
Survivors include her two sons, Stacy Broadway and wife, Nancy of Virginia and Tracy Broadway and wife, Sara of Taylorsville; one daughter, Tanya Broadway Henry and husband, Tim of Florence; six grandchildren, Tyler Broadway, Katie Broadway, Kyle Broadway, Michael Broadway, Tori Henry, and Bryce Henry; four great-grandchildren, Brayan Broadway, Trey Broadway, Brantley Broadway, and Trip Broadway; one sister, Lois Jones and husband, Roger; and a host of other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Batson Children’s Hospital Fund, University of Mississippi Medical Center, Office of Development Accounting, 2500 N.
