Kelvin “Bones” Evans, 58, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, passed away at his home in Taylorsville, Missisisppi, on Sunday, January 17, 2021. He was born Saturday, March 31, 1962, in Laurel, Mississippi.

        Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Taylorsville, Mississippi.

        Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery in Taylorsville, Mississippi. Dr. Frankie Clark will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. (601) 785-6564

        Bones was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend.  Bones was a lover of animals.  He enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors.  He will be greatly missed by his loving mother and family.

        He was preceded in death by his father, Burl Evans; and one nephew, Ance Evans.

        Survivors include his loving mother, Frankie M. Phipps Evans; one brother, Marlon Evans and wife, Sharon of Taylorsville; one sister, Amanda Evans of Taylorsville; two nephews, Norris Evans and wife, Anny of Petal and Pete Evans of Taylorsville; and a host of other family members and friends.

        Pallbearers will be Jeff Polk, Pat Gray, Mark Quinn, Armand Andries, Brandon Evans, and Shane Magee.  Honorary pallbearer will be Eric Jordan.
