Keilah Berry was named the Spirit of Magee for 2019 by the Magee Chamber of Commerce at Thursday night’s Chamber banquet.
The winner is kept secret until the night of the chamber banquet. Larry Buffington, who worked for years with Keilah, made the introduction.
Everyone always enjoys trying to guess who will win the coveted award. Keilah, wife of Mayor Dale Berry, was completely shocked and almost speechless. A supporter of all things Magee, Keilah is dedicated to the betterment of the city.
I always think of the Spirit of Magee as the biggest “cheerleader” of Magee. Keilah certainly cheers and promotes Magee.
