The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in 1 John 2:26: Now, dear children, continue in Him, so that when He appears, we may be confident and unashamed before Him at His coming.” The early Christian converts were encouraged to keep the faith and not become discouraged and return to a life of sin. As children of God, they, as well as we today, are to keep our focus on Him and claim His promises. Christ will one day return and will claim His own. In the meantime, we are to be watchful and waiting for that marvelous advent. It could come at any time. No one knows the day nor the hour, not even the angels in Heaven. We must remain strong, keep the faith, and share the love of God as we watch and wait for the Lord’s return. Amen!
