Assists at State Capitol
Kaylea Barr of Magee recently served as a page for the Mississippi Senate. Pages generally run errands for officials and Senate staff. Kaylea is pictured with Lt. Governor C. Delbert Hosemann Jr. and Senator Chris Caughman, who sponsored her visit. Kaylea is the daughter of Jaime and Lauralyn Barr and attends Simpson County Academy. When asked about the week, Kaylea said, “I was nervous but excited to be a page; but I am super glad I did. I am paging for Senator Caughman and have had an incredible experience this week. I hope I carry what I have learned here into my future career.” Also pictured is Reece Welch of Mendenhall.

Delbert Hosemann Jr. and Senator Chris Caughman, who sponsored his visit. Reece is the son of Kristen and Chris Welch and attends Puckett High School. When asked about the week, Reece said, “I have enjoyed my time this week at the Capitol. I was able to learn more about our state’s government and was able help our state senators.”
