Katie Rogers receives the prestigious national Prudential Spirit of Community Award. Rebecca Martin, Manager of Financial Services, with Prudential present Katie the award. The Prudential Spirit of Community Award is given to one student per state. This award is given to students that become role models that care about the world and make a difference by giving their time to community service.
Thousands of young people across the United States are volunteering their time and talents to make a difference in their communities and state but only one per state is awarded the Prudential Spirit of Community Award. Katie Rogers was chosen for the state of Mississippi. Katie volunteers for Blair E Batson Children’s Hospital and serves as intern with the American Cancer Society both reflect her deep concern for sick children. Katie will be honored with a trip to Washington D.C. in May to join all of the other honorees across the country for four days of special recognition and events. Katie will receive a $1000 award and will be considered for one of the National Awards that will be given out.
