Kathy Pennington Powell, 65 of Mount Olive, MS went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at the Merit Wesley Health Center in Hattiesburg, MS. She was born Monday, May 11, 1959 in Magee, MS.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 10:00am until 11:00am at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee, 302 Eighth Ave SW, Magee, MS. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 04, 2024 at 11:00am at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sharon Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Magee, MS. Bro. Will McNeese and Bro. James Fortenberry will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Dean Pennington; brother, Kenneth Jerald Pennington; sister, Diane Pennington Powers.
Survivors include her mother, Adierene Amason Pennington; son, Stevan Sells; daughter, Latasha Howard-Cain; aunt, Myra Williams; uncle, Mitchell Amason; 3 grandsons and 1 granddaughter.
