Kathleen Orman, 77 of Richland, MS passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. She was born Saturday, October 23, 1948 in Mississippi.

 Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at New Zion Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. at New Zion Baptist Church in Braxton, MS. Burial will follow in New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Braxton, Mississippi. Bro. Jimmy Errington will officiate. Special music will be performed by Dana Calhoun. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401.

 Mrs. Kathleen Orman was a cherished member of the New Zion Baptist Church in Braxton, where she loved her church family dearly. She enjoyed working in her yard and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and sister-in-law. Her family and friends will greatly miss her.

 She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Carson Orman;  daughter, Kathy  Lynn  Prine; parents, Buford Kirkland and Bobbie Kirkland; sister, Gerald Dean Creason; brother-in-law, Charlie Creason.

 Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia  Ann  James  (Tommy);  sister, Margret Ann Kirkland;  grandchildren, Tommy  James, Jr. and Michael Albert James  (Michelle);  great grandchildren, Cayden Noah James, Kinsleigh Grace James and Magen James; sister-in-law, Betty  Crosby; and a  host of nieces and nephews and New Zion family.

 Pallbearers will be Cory Calhoun, Shane Pittman, Kevin Davis, Greg Welborn, Josh Patrick, Bill McMorris, and Tim Shows.

 Honorary pallbearers will be Wilburn Kirkland.
