Karysen Jones, daughter of Steven Chilsom and Tamarrow Jones, was crowned the first lil Miss Juneteenth in Simpson County.  The celebration took place Saturday, January 15, 2024 at the Marvin Jackson Park.

Karysen poses with her Poster Board Presentation of Mrs. Opal Lee.  Mrs. Lee is the grandmother of the Juneteenth Holiday.  Karysen also presented her poster at the recent Simpson County Annual Juneteenth Celebration.

The lil Miss Juneteenth pageant was sponsored by the Magee Attendance Center McLaurin Vocational Consolidated Historical Society.
