Karon Brown, 65, of D’Lo, MS, went to her heavenly home on March 27, 2022, at her residence. She was born on November 2, 1956.
Karon was a very loving, kind, and devoted Christian. She loved spending time with her grandbabies and she enjoyed gardening. She loved her family more than life itself. Karon is better known for her caregiving; she loved all the people she sat with.
Karon is survived by her loving husband of thirty-eight years, Reggie Brown, D’Lo, MS; three sons, William Hicks, Southhaven, MS, Luke Parker (Kristin) Mendenhall, MS, Adam Brown (Lauren), Batesville, MS; two stepdaughters, Kisha Kiesiner and Regina O’Neal both of Nashville, TN; her mother, Mary A. Hicks, Magee, MS; four sisters, Mary L. Hicks, Bay St. Louis, MS, Helen Felks (Steve) Magee, MS, Sheila Jones (David), Splendora, TX and, Virginia (Robert) Stubbs, Magee, MS. She leaves behind twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Karon was preceded in death by her dad, Norman E. Hicks, Jr. (Magee, MS); paternal grandparents, Norman E. Hicks. Sr., and Louise May Hicks Charlottesville, VA; and maternal grandparents, Claude A. Curlee and Majorie Curlee, Mendenhall, MS.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall. Services will be held in Tutor Chapel on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at 10:00 AM with Bro. Mack Harrison and Bro. Brad Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at D’Lo City Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
