Julea B Gillis, 88, of Pinola, passed from this life Monday, January 25, 2016, at Pinecrest Guest Home in Hazlehurst. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, January 29, 2016, at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Pinola. Bro. Rick Munn and Fr. Thomas Delaney will officiate. Burial will be in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements, (601)849-5031.
Graveside visitation will be at 10:00am at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.
She is survived by daughters, Evelyn Bryant (Olen) and Debbie Oliver, both of Hazlehurst, brother, M.E. Brewer of Ridgeland, grandchildren, Rachel Sims (Stephen) of Hattiesburg, Katherine Bryant of Jackson, Caroline Nick (Brian) of Bentonville, AR, Robert Hayes Oliver of Brandon, Jon Oliver (Myndi) of Starkville, great grandchildren, Sally Sims, Emery Nick, Will Oliver, and Bayli Oliver, nieces and nephews, Gwen Gillis, Mack Gillis, Penny Fisher (Joe), Robin Slaydon (Larry), Susan Cole, Allen Brewer (LeAnne), Karen Henderson (Jack) and a host of great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Glen Gillis, parents, Uhlan and Effie Brewer, sister, Ruth Gillis, brother, Ingle Brewer and nephew, Charles Brewer.
The family would like to thank the staff of Pinecrest Guest Home for their excellent care of their loved one.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.
