Judith Ann Ainsworth Horn, 72, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, passed on Monday, November 23, 2020, at Jasper General Nursing Home in Bay Springs, Mississippi. She was born Saturday, May 1, 1948, in Laurel, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Taylorsville, Mississippi.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery. Dr. Frankie Clark will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. (601) 785-6564
Mrs. Horn was a member of First Baptist Church of Bay Springs. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was 1966 graduate of Bay Springs High School. She attended Jones County Junior College and then completed her degree and the University of Southern Mississippi. While attending University of Southern Mississippi, she was a member of the Dixie Darlings. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Girl Scouts. After college, she worked at Magee General Hospital in the Lab Department, and retired from Jasper General Nursing Home in the Lab Department in 2003. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oree Doc Ainsworth Laura Elline Lee Ainsworth; and one brother, Douglas Oree Ainsworth.
Survivors include her loving husband of forty-nine years, Lynn Horn of Taylorsville; one daughter, April Horn and Donald Neal of Taylorsville; two sons, Jason Horn and Susan Jefcoat of Big Creek and Gabe Horn and wife, Heather of Taylorsville; nine grandchildren, Zack Horn and wife, Aron, Reagan Chaney, Jacob Horn and wife, Jacklyn, Jada Horn and Cole Clark, Madelyn Horn, Katelyn Horn, Tanner Horn, Ky Buckley, and JT McDaniel; eight great-grandchildren, Emmory Horn, Luanna Horn, Decklyn Horn, Ava Chaney, Riley Horn, Cullen Horn,, Cooper Clark, and Cash Clark; one sister, Laura Parker of Bay Springs; and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Donald Neal, Chad Bounds, Wayne Ainsworth, Ken Knight, Chris Mathis, and Bret Parker. Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Horn and Ky Buckley,
