Joshua Lee Gunter, 41 of Mize, MS passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023 at his home in Mize, MS. He was born Sunday, September 20, 1981 in Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Burial will follow in Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Cemetery in Mize. Bro. John Barnes will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
Joshua worked in the power line industry and on heavy machinery. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He loved to grill and spend time with family and friends. He was a loving father, son, and brother.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Michael Gunter; brother, Mark Lalonde; paternal grandparents, Billy and Macy Gunter; maternal grandparents, Elias and Olivia Guillory
Survivors include his son, Neal Maddox Gunter of Taylorsville, MS; daughter, Chloe Belle Gunter of Taylorsville, MS; mother, Hazel Marie Gunter of Mize, MS; brothers, Jason Michael Gunter of Hattiesburg , MS and Joseph Dylan Micah Gunter of Mize; sister, Nicole Renee Templeton of Mize , MS; and their spouses Cody, Spencer, Ashleigh, and Marie; nephews, Jon Dawson Lalonde of Mize and Austin Gauge Templeton of Mize; nieces, Abigail Marie Gunter of Hattiesburg , MS and Mia Renee Bradford of Mize; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members.
Pallbearers will be Robbie Hasbargen, Billy Blakeney, Ashley Jones, Jon Ladonde, Dylan Guillory, and Lance McKinley.
