Jones Ray Fitzhugh, Pinola, MS
Jones Ray Fitzhugh, 75, died on April 24, 2018, in Simpson County, Mississippi. Mr. Fitzhugh was born on August 1, 1942, in Scott County, Mississippi to his parents J.C. and Christine Fitzhugh.
He graduated from Barnes High School in Leake County, Mississippi. He married Janice Lee Fitzhugh of Pinola, Mississippi on September 28, 1962. He was retired from Southern Council Industrial Workers.
Mr. Fitzhugh was preceded in death by his father, J.C. Fitzhugh; mother, Christine Barnett Fitzhugh; two brothers, Richard Fitzhugh and Leroy Fitzhugh, and one sister, Betty Sue Fitzhugh.
Mr. Fitzhugh is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janice Lee Fitzhugh; brother, Horace Fitzhugh; one sister, Peggy Fitzhugh Babb and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 26, 2018, from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, Mississippi. Funeral Services will be held at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall on Friday, April 27, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. with visitation from 9 a.m – 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Strong River Cemetery in Pinola, Mississippi.
Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall is entrusted with arrangements.
