Jonathan Wade “Jonny B” Davis, 59, of Raleigh, Mississippi, passed away from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at his home. He was born Tuesday, August 22, 1961, in Raleigh, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, Mississippi.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 3, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Taylorsville, Mississippi. Bro. Stevie Hand will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031
Mr. Davis was a member of Eastside Baptist Church of Raleigh, Mississippi. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in his garden, spending time in the outdoors, and most of all spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Doy Davis and Elma Butler Davis, and Hooker Smith and Vera Horn Smith.
Survivors include his loving wife of twenty-eight years, Nikki Warren Davis of Raleigh; two children, Jonathan Hunter Davis and Myia Nicole Grimme, both of Raleigh; two grandchildren, Jessie Hosannah Davis and Roman Hunter Davis, both of Raleigh; parents, Rev. Sidney Davis and Gloria Smith Davis of Taylorsville; three brothers, Michael Davis and wife, JoJo, of Seminary, Joel Davis of Atlanta, GA, and Jason Davis and wife, Keri, of Flowood; and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Lowery, Tex Walley, Tony Hancock, Hunter Davis, Ronnie Hughes, and David Davis.
