Johnnie Blanche (Bass) Coyne
Johnnie Blanche Bass (Spiers), 86, passed away Saturday at Comfort Care Nursing Home in Laurel. She was born Thursday, February 11, 1932, in Carriere, Pearl River, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home Magee.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home Magee. The Burial will follow in Calhoun Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. John Adcox and Bro. Sidney Davis will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031.
She was preceded in death by husband of 49 years, George Franklin Bass, parents, Samuel Spiers and Olevia “Ollie” Bell Spiers (Jackson); daughter, Bonnie Sue Hayes (Bass); sisters Fay Sherrill Fayard (Spiers), and Jane Ann Seal (Spiers); brother, James “Jimmy” Spiers.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Rutland (Charles David), Gina Speir (Jeff), Jorge Ann Bass, Traci Gregory (Scott); Son, Marvin Bass (Lela); sisters, Earline Fenimore (Spiers) and Rose Lang (Spiers); 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
