John Mack Darden, 71, of Mize, Mississippi passed from this life Wednesday July 22, 2020 at UMC in Jackson. He was born Wednesday, September 1, 1948.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, Mississippi.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Mize. The Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Bro. John Barnes, Rudy Jackson and Andrew Pittman will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031

Johnny Mack was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.  He was most remembered for his love for everyone.  Johnny Mack was always quick to share a smile, offer a hand and tell a funny story.  His love of music, laughter and work ethic was his legacy.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Rosie Warren Darden, infant-son John Craig Darden, sister, Vondell Lee, Brother-in laws, Toby Rigney, and Shorty Lee. Sister-in-law, Billie Darden.

Survivors include wife of 37 years, Sherri Holyfield Darden,  Children, John (Tony) Darden and Wife Gayla, Amy Cole and husband Mark, John Amory Darden and wife Danielle, Grandchildren, Jarrett Darden, Cara Cole, Emily Cole, Brady Darden, John Mark Cole, brother, David Darden and wife Marilyn, Leon Darden, sisters, Rose Rigney, Barbara Harvey and husband Tolson.

Pallbearers will be Paul Little, Robert Garner, Jarrett Darden, Tyler Brown, Robbie Blackwell, Zack Griffith, Brennan Ladner, Todd Blackwell, Jonathan Blackwell, and Cooper Holyfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Reid Holyfield, Baylor Holyfield, Mike Blackwell, Charles Blackwell, Brady Darden, John Mark Cole, Stephen Brown, Jeremy Wilborn, Brandon Wilborn, Lance McGee, Daniel Craft, Kyle Holyfield, Blayde Pittman, Jace Pittman, Jax Pittman, Bill Johnston Jr., Billy Toney, Charles Clark, J.C. Eubanks, Danny Robinson, and Ronnie Hallman.

Due to COVID-19 face masks are requested and please observe social distancing.
