John Franklin Pittman passed away at his home on Friday, January 3, 2025, at the age of 75. He was born on July 31, 1949, to J.D. Pittman and Madelyn Loper Pittman in Jackson, MS.
John served his country in The United States Navy and later retired. He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association and enjoyed anything if it included motorcycles. He also enjoyed mud riding and drag racing. He adored his family, and his grandchildren held a special place in his heart.
He is survived by his wife, Melonie Lee Pittman; two sons, Kody Pittman ( Kayla) and Houston Pittman (Chelsea); three brothers; six sisters; and six grandchildren, W.J. Pittman, Miles Pittman, Rivers Pittman, Navy Pittman, Critt Pittman, and Avery Allen.
The service will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, MS, at 2:00 PM in the chapel.
Pallbearers are Dusty Wright, Hunter Green, Devon Green, Stone Green, Martin Carder and Clint Lee. Honorary pallbearers are Richard McFarland, Dennie McFarland, Steve Blackwood, Jeffrey Blackwood, William Pittman and Scott Polk.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
