WESSON – Copiah-Lincoln Community College is one of the best colleges in the nation to work for, according to the Great Colleges to Work For® program.

The results, released today in a special insert of The Chronicle of Higher Education, are based on a survey of nearly 200 colleges and universities across the nation. In all, 76 of those institutions achieved “Great College to Work For” recognition for specific best practices and policies.

Co-Lin won honors in six categories this year:

In addition to selection in these six categories, the college also earned special distinction as an Honor Roll institution. The Honor Roll designation is awarded to the top 10 four-year colleges and top 4 two-year colleges in each size group that are recognized in the greatest number of categories. This is Co-Lin’s seventh time being recognized as a Great College to Work For, and the third time with Honor Roll distinction.

“This recognition reflects the incredible people who make up the Co-Lin family,” said Co-Lin President Dr. Dewayne Middleton. “Our faculty and staff are deeply committed to serving students, supporting one another, and carrying out our mission day in and day out. To be named not only a Great College to Work For, but also to earn Honor Roll distinction, is evidence of the pride, purpose, and teamwork that defines Co-Lin.”

Out of the 15 community colleges in Mississippi, Co-Lin was one of only two community colleges who achieved Great College to Work For status.
