I am Joey Womack.  After much prayer and consideration, I announce my candidacy for Justice Court Judge, Post 2.

I am married to Sharon Womack, and we are blessed with a wonderful 14 year old son.

I am the son of Retired Captain Johnnie T. Womack of the Mississippi Highway Patrol and former Chief of Police for the City of Magee.

Board of Aldermen Agenda for 12/02/2025 (Meeting begins at 3:30 PM)—Please note time change

November 30, 2025

My mother, Becky Layton Womack of Magee is a retired School teacher.

My family has vast experience in Law Enforcement.  My late brother, Major Jed Womack, worked for the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.   My other brother is Retired Sgt. Jay Womack of the Texas Rangers, Texas Department of Public Safety..

I graduated from Magee High School and continued my education at the University of Southern Mississippi where I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice as well as a Minor in Forensic Science.

In my 27 years of law enforcement service I have had the great honor to serve in numerous positions which include State Investigator for the MS Alcoholic Beverage Control, Gulfport Police, MS Bureau of Narcotics Special Contract Agent, Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force Agent, US Customs Cross Designated Agent, Homicide Investigator, Financial Crimes Investigator, and Sniper Team member.

I served with the MS Department of Corrections as Chief Investigator assigned to the Central Mississippi Correctional Facility.  In this position, I was in charge of day to day operations of the prison and as well as ensuring the safety and security of the employees and prisoners.  I was responsible for administrative investigations and criminal investigations.

I am currently the Assistant Chief of Police for the Magee Police Department.

My family and I are Christians.  I attend the New Bethlehem Baptist Church.
I believe my education, experience, and integrity qualify me to be your next Justice Court Judge Post 2.  Please vote Republican for me on August 6, 2019.
