Joe Frank Lee, 80, of Mendenhall, Mississippi, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at his home. He was born Friday, July 19, 1940, in Kosciusko, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall, Mississippi.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 31, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Popular Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Ted Bowlin and Bro. Harold Floyd will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401

Mr. Lee was a member of Popular Springs Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, son, and brother. He served our country in the United States Army in the 1960’s. He was a retired truck driver where he was able to travel all over the United States. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved the Lord with all his heart and soul. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Morris Lee and Emma Mavis Brown Lee; and one son, Joe Darryl Lee.

Survivors include loving wife of 57 years, Mary Frances Burris Lee of Mendenhall; one brother, Jerry Bernard Lee and wife Ann of Florence; one sister, Nina Joyce Lee Layton of Mendenhall; one brother-in-law, Charles Burris and wife Mary of Vicksburg; one niece, Vicky Darlene Burris of Jackson; and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Martin Burris, Hunter Lyons, John Austin Burris, Josh Burris, Cody Lyons, and Josh Lee.
