Jimmie Paul Hand, 63, of Mize, Mississippi, passed away on, Thursday, January 30, 2020, at his home. He was born Wednesday, August 22, 1956.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville, and on Sunday, February 2, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at New Liberty Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, February 2, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at New Liberty Baptist Church in Mize. The burial will follow in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Jon Neal, Bro. Jimmie Ingram, and Bro. Stevie Hand will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. (601) 785-6564
Mr. Hand was the baby of eleven. He was a quiet soul but spread his love to all who he met. He enjoyed walking, and going to the cow sales at Mize.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ransom and Hattie Mae Dickerson Hand; one brother, William Fred Hand; and one sister, Mary Lee Hand.
Survivors include his three sisters, Barbara Dennis and husband, Orea, of Foxworth, Josephine Gunter of Mize, and Jane Hand of Laurel; five brothers, Carl (Hop) Hand and wife Venie Kaye, of Mize, Carrol Hand and wife Judy, of Laurel, Jerry Lee Hand, Sr. and wife Trudy, of Mize, Tommy Neil Hand and wife Brenda, of Taylorsville, and Gale Hand of Mize; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Pallbearers will be Jarod Hand, Neil Hand, Zack Hand, Ricky Hand, Thomas Hand, and James David Gunter.
