The Scriptural passage for today is found in 1st Timothy 4:12: “Set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith,, and in purity.” The apostles and early Christians writers felt it prudent through divine inspiration to advise the members of the early church in proper Christian conduct. Example was key. Christ, of course, was set forth as the supreme example of how each should treat the other: simply do as Christ did in His earthly ministry. In all areas, one should search the Scriptures to see the conduct Jesus exhibited in His daily exchange with individuals. No other human being should be allowed to usurp Jesus’ example for us. He is our perfect model on whom to pattern our behavior and our lives. Let us be found doing just that. Praise Jesus! Amen!
