Jessie Ruth Warren passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at the age of 94. She was born on January 16, 1928, to Claude Cook and Earma Mae (Patterson) Cook.
For many years, she and her husband, J.E. Warren owned and operated Warren’s Grocery in the Martinville community. She was also part owner of numerous retail businesses.
She is survived by her daughters, Johnnie Warren Eavenson and Janet Warren Sullivan (Gary Paul); brother, Charlie Lee Cook (Peggy); sister, Claudia Cook Bishop; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.E. Warren; parents, Claude and Earma Cook; brother, Colon Cook, son-in-law; Joel Eavenson and granddaughter, Angie Eavenson.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022, at Kennedy Springs Baptist Church from 11:00 am until the service at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Kennedy Springs Cemetery with Bro. Wade Mathis, Rev. Ken Harrison and Bro. Roger Lee officiating.
Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
