Jessica R. West is a longtime resident of Braxton, MS. She is currently twenty-seven and has accomplished many accolades. She temporarily worked as a teacher for a local childcare center, while running two businesses in Simpson and Smith County, and is a published author. Mrs. West credits her success by stating “God is the reason for my being, everything I do is to bring glory to Him. Success comes to those who utilize the life, talents, and opportunities that are given by our Heavenly Father.”

Jessica West is a local author who has published six Christian based children’s books. Her goal is to help children 0-5yr to establish a strong academic foundation that is rooted in Christ. Her books are currently being sold worldwide through Amazon, with free shipping to Amazon Prime members. Mrs. West has accomplished this personal goal in only seven months. Her story begins in October of 2023. Mrs. West felt like she wanted to do something for the Lord, but did not know how or what to do, so she prayed and asked for guidance. One day later she was reading a book to her children when she received a message from her husband. He shared a Facebook listing for (Help Wanted) for a local christian childcare center. Mrs. West stated “I could not ignore the signs that were in front of my very eyes.” Mrs. West applied and received the job. Her first few months working with the children allowed her to gain a better understanding of what kind of stories, imagery, and academic subjects children find more appealing. Mrs. West’s role allowed her to gain the necessary knowledge to begin writing and creating book illustrations. In two months Mrs. West wrote and created six children’s books. She completed this while being a wife, mother to a one and two year old, teaching during the day, and running two businesses at night.
Jessica’s books are being sold at printing cost on Amazon and can be found in Simpson County libraries.
Mrs. West states: “Let’s all work together to help the next generation of believers, never forget God’s love is eternal, and that he is always with you”.

I bought some of her books and sent them to a rural village in Alaska for the Eskimo children. The children love them.
