Jerry York, 55, of Braxton, passed from this life Thursday, July 02, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, July 05, 2015 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall Bro. Dennis Raines will officiate. Burial will be in Braxton City Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements, (601)847-4401.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00pm on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.
He is survived by:
Wife – Cynthia York of Braxton Son – Jeremy York, of Latrobe, PA, Daughters – Jennifer York of Mendenhall and Jessica York of Braxton. Grand Children – Landon Rice of Mendenhall, Christopher Rice of Mendenhall Levi Pevey of Braxton, Zoey York of Latrobe, PA Gage York of Braxton, Mother Maudie York, of Brookhaven, Brother – Harvey York (Syble), of Pearl, Sisters- Hazel Cumberland (Keith) of Brookhaven, and Betty Harper.
He is preceded in death by:
Father – Clint York, Sisters – Margie Runnels and Sherry Griffin and Niece – Brandy Sartin.
Pallbearers will be: Gary Runnels, Steve Hester, Tommy Sistrunk, Trent Grossie, Kenneth Byrd, and Derrick Barnes.
