Mr. Jerry was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Mize.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend.  He loved hunting, fishing, and being outdoors, and most of all spending time with his children and grands.  He enjoyed spending time with his friends.  His favorite game to hunt was turkey.  He would always prepare turkey nuggets during turkey season.  Later in years, his favorite little pet was his little Chihuahua Nacho.  He loved traveling to Wyoming with his wife to visit family and friends. He loved the mountains.  He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. He was member of the Taylorsville masonic lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Lenard Horn and Mattie Jo Keene Horn; one sister, Rosemary Horn.

Survivors include his loving wife of twenty-seven years, Velda Horn of Taylorsville; two daughters, Bethani Horn of Mize and Lindsay Cooley and husband, Brett of Belle Chasse, LA; three sons, Jamie Kilgore and wife, Heather of Taylorsville, Shawn Atwood of Taylorsville, and Kelton Atwood of Taylorsville; seven grandchildren, Destinye Ryann Horn, Casen James Cooley, Kian Thomas Cooley, Aldyn Elizabeth Cooley, Natalie Nicole Kilgore, Madison Diane Kilgore, and Sawyer Kane Atwood; two sisters, Martha Katherine Evans of Bay Springs and Terri Jo Edwards of Taylorsville; one brother, Edgar Lynn Horn and wife, Judy of Taylorsville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
