(August 13, 1941 – June 1, 2022)

Jerry Edward Grantham, 80, of Mendenhall, Mississippi passed away from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at the Bedford Care Center in Mendenhall, Mississippi. He was born Wednesday, August 13, 1941, in Mendenhall, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home at 3077 Simpson Hwy 13, Mendenhall, Mississippi.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Everett Cemetery in Mendenhall, Mississippi. Reverend Ron Harrison and Reverend Rodney Anderson will officiate. Special music will be performed by Mrs. Delores Thornton and Mr. Buddy Mullins.  Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401

Mr. Jerry was a member of First Baptist Church of Mendenhall, Mississippi.  He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Pearl, Mississippi for over fifty years where he served as a Deacon.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend.  He worked for over thirty-five years with Paine Supply in Jackson, Mississippi.  After retiring he was the owner and operator of Citywide A/C in Jackson, Mississippi.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, working on remolding projects, traveling, reading Westerns, and most of all spending time with his family.  He will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ely Grantham, Sr.; mother, Catherine Graves Grantham; brothers, Ely Grantham, Jr., Ray Grantham and Bud Grantham; and sisters, Billie Jo Grantham Williamson, Betty Grantham Oswalt and Ann Grantham Gay.

Survivors include his loving wife of sixty years, Wanda Price Grantham of Mendenhall, Mississippi;  two sons, Tim Grantham (Cindy) of Pearl, Mississippi and James Terrell Grantham of Mendenhall, Mississippi; one daughter, Tonya Grantham Hall (Scott) of Hattiesburg, Mississippi;  eight grandchildren, Hannah Peagler Howard (Craig) of Brandon, Mississippi, Bailey Peagler of Pearl, Mississippi, Cade Grantham of Pearl, Mississippi, Abby Hall of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Cole Grantham of Hazlehurst, Mississippi, Reid Grantham of Pearl, Mississippi, Sarah Elizabeth Grantham of Hazlehurst, Mississippi and Sophie Hall of Hattiesburg, Mississippi;  great-grandson, Aaron Howard of Brandon, Mississippi; one brother, Harry Grantham of Brandon, Mississippi; his twin sister, Janet Grantham Artman (Dan) of Madison, Mississippi; and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Cade Grantham, Cole Grantham, Reid Grantham, Craig Howard, Michael Artman, and Brent Gay.  Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Williamson and Gary Williamson.
